Rich Dad Poor Dad Secrets Explained

I just finished an epic interview with Robert Kiyosaki. He's the author of Rich Dad Poor Dad, most notably, which is the number one personal finance book ever written. We discussed how to prepare yourself for this new economic climate and the things that you can do to continue to grow your mind, grow your financial independence, and your own spiritual freedom.

Here is something that really stood out to me. He said If you've lost your job right now or you're afraid right now and you've lost a bunch of money in your retirement account, or you are about to go underwater, you need to take all your fear, worry, and stress... look in the mirror and say thank you that I lost my job. Thank you that I lost all this money.

Thank you that I trusted the system and the system has let me down because even though this sucks really bad, this is going to be the thing that changes my life forever. Now I'm going to study more than ever. I'm going to grow my mind more than ever. I'm going to start that dream business.

I'm going to be less fragile and more prepared. The painful things happening right now is what shapes a strong character five or ten years from now. A lot of the time, a lot sooner!

Too much of the time people crack under pressure and they spend the rest of their life pessimistic or angry or frustrated in financial problems. But some people realize life isn't here to break you. It's here to shape you. Every one of us should be asking ourselves what is life trying to teach me right now?

For every person that's going to be different. It might be that you are finally realizing you've neglected your health. Maybe you've neglected important relationships. Maybe you lost your job and this is your opportunity to start that business or do what you've been dreaming of.

A lot of times we have to be taught through heartache and pain because we're spiritual beings in a physical body. We incarnated here to learn certain spiritual lessons to evolve our souls. And a lot of times in this dimension, you learn through suffering and you learn through pain.

That was ultimately how the Buddha became enlightened. That's the story of the Buddha. His dad was the King and he grew up in the huge mansions with all the women, drugs, alcohol, and all the power he could ever want but he was suffering.

All that suffering eventually led him to sit under the Bodhi tree and find enlightenment. So through that suffering, it ultimately helped shape his destiny and his character and his life. I want to remind you, life isn't here to break you. It's here to shape you and you have a higher calling and a higher destiny in life.
