Once I could have panicked and thought about everything bad that could possibly happen, I realized that the only thing I was doing was thinking about all the bad things that could happen or all the bad things that were happening, which was unfair to her. She said it was unfair to her because it was only making her life worse.
Our Emotions Are Created By Us

All of these emotions are actually being created by us by the way we're viewing these situations, by attaching to the emotions, getting sucked into them, feeling like a victim, or feeling like the world is just out to get us, that it's never going to get better in PALS, that the problems are going to keep piling up. and she said to me that day that I had just decided that regardless of what was happening in the world, I was going to be happy. I was going to make a choice to feel good and to do things that made me feel good.
There Are Things You Cannot Control

In order to feel this, in order to get to that, you have to release the belief that you're the victim of the world outside of you and that you are in the world outside of you. You cannot control everything outside of you, but you can always control the way you react, the way you respond, and the thoughts that you're having about it.
