When Bad Things Happen: I wanted to share a little personal story, and hopefully you're going through a similar experience, but hopefully you can draw out something that can empower you and your life. My story is that I had a business deal that just went south and I paid somebody X amount of dollars and they did not perform any of the tasks that we had agreed upon, and now they won't answer me anymore. What I realized is that when you have challenges and face situations, that's really all they're doing; they exist to see what's within you. What you've tapped into within yourself—and really, when it boils down to it, there's no such thing as a stressful situation—is that it's just our thoughts about the situation that create the stress, or the entire thing, which is the craziest thing ever because most of us don't have to experience it.
When Bad Things Happen: Stress Allows You to See Yourself
All of us don't have to experience the stress that you go through on a day-to-day basis. If we cannot react to the situations and immediately become victims of them, I could have done a few things. I could have become a victim of this situation, and I could tell this whole story about how this happened with this person and they took whatever I had to say, but all that's doing is wasting my energy away from what I could be doing right now in the life that I could be enjoying right now. When Bad Things Happen: So if you're having a difficult situation with an individual, your job, or anything with yourself, it's an opportunity to see what you've tapped into within yourself: your level of understanding of yourself, your level of understanding of life, your thoughts, and your true power. It is a test to see what types of situations you can be in.
Still Be Productive Even In Stressful Situations
For me, I'm looking at this as an opportunity to see that I can be in stressful situations and still be productive. So I'm saying, "Okay, show me some other situations that others may think of as stressful or that I could have used to think of as stressful, which now can allow me to better bring my gifts to the world."
